Landscape Design Challenge
This client wanted more pizzazz in her front yard and entry. Beautiful large trees cast too much shade in the bedding areas. Nothing would bloom. Everything was the same monotonous color. It lacked curb appeal.
OUR INTUITIVE SOLUTION
Jamie evaluated the site and proposed a shady area solution.
- Enhance color and texture with the right shade tolerant plant pallet
- Create seasonal color by installing annuals and perennials
- Draw the eye to color across the front of the home, not just at entryway
Realizing the Project
DEMOLITION
Outdated shrubbery and ground cover area were removed.
CONSTRUCTION
Organic compost and soil enhancements were installed in all plant bedding areas. Mulch was heavily laid to manage moisture and prevent weeds.
A variety of shade-tolerant plants were installed in multiple beds at the front entry and and across the front of the home.
Completed Project
The homeowner's vision for seasonal color and curb appeal was achieved with the right shade-tolerant pallet.
We created an inviting entry to the home, mirrored by beautiful landscaping across the entire front.
New landscaping greatly enhanced the overall look of the home. Multiple shapes, textures, and color elements turned an uninspiring landscape into an eye-catching and visually interesting space.
This home now has the pizzazz desired in the front yard. Seasonal color and curb appeal dramatically changed the look.
